Prepare an organization, provider connection, and MCP access policy.
Have the following ready:
Decide whether the client only needs to read records or also needs to create and change them.
Use read-only access by default. If a workflow requires write access, enable read-write mode and disable any individual tools the client does not need.
Go to Dashboard > Organization > Integrations, select the provider, and complete its connection flow.
After the provider is connected, use its MCP tab to review connection details and manage MCP access.
In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors, select Add custom connector, and enter the same provider-specific MCP URL shown by Inrconnect. See Connect Housecall Pro to Claude for plan-specific steps.
Ask the client to perform a narrow read, such as searching for a known customer or client. Confirm that the result belongs to the intended provider account before testing broader reads or write actions.
See the Quick Start for the complete sequence.
